11/11 What does it mean?

Are you seeing 11:11 everywhere?  Do you know what this number means?

Some believe 11:11 is the time that you should make a wish in hopes of it magically coming true. Others believe that the actual meaning of 11:11 is a sign that angelic beings are close by. They come with love and protection, and bring clarity and guidance to all who believe.

11/11 is also known for being the worlds biggest online shopping event. Coined, Singles’ Day by Alibaba and its founder, Jack Ma, the de facto holiday has become the ‘anti-Valentine’s Day’ for Chinese singletons to embrace the shop till they drop mentality.

Over the past 4 years 11/11 has become a permanent symbol of Love and Light etching positivity deep into the 9th WAVe esthetic. Artistic events and apparel are just some of the many sustainable tools that we have used to seamlessly connect people and brands in ways no one would have ever expected.

As 11/11 is seen as a magical vessel that brings positivity and wealth into ones life,  9th WAVe is taking this day to celebrate and further culminate all the work that is being done behind the scenes. While publishing artists and brands are where it seems we place a big part of our focus, the most important aspect of what we do is GIVE where it makes a difference. As a result of past 11/11 events, #Fukya Apparel and #MauiKineCoffee will be donating a percentage of 2018 sales to #TheClarkTakashimaProject, which is preserving our braddah’s artistic legacy. Moving forward 9th WAVe will be extending it’s reach into India and Peru, helping both humanity and the natural planet by creating both a sustainable and socially responsible network that will bring positivity to everyone involved!
