GIVE BACK – Clark Takashima Charity Project

Clark was the epitome of generosity, kindness and genuine affection toward all who had the good fortune to cross paths with him. However, it was his creativity and flair for capturing the movement and beauty radiating from the waves that engulfed much of his waking hours. The sheer charisma of his character and art work cast a long shadow for many artists to find comforting shade and inspiration from. His early departure from this earthly domain was a profound loss, but the unequivocal response from all those who knew him came as no surprise.  Check out this video of the Clark Takashima Memorial Paddle Out – North Shore, Oahu, Hawaii.

The founders of 9th WAVe PBL had an endearing relationship with Clark and often conspired toward beneficial foundries contrived to support fellow artisans. A notable one was `The Plant Too – Pupukea`, a haven of learning, motivation and community. As part of our efforts to keep the spirit of Clark thriving, we undertook the honor of becoming the publisher of Clark`s body of work.
